Glorious Day...Amazing family

Beautiful little Miss T

Little Miss T has had a bit of a fight on her hands but has come through a lot of medical issues with flying colors. I had the pleasure of photographing her, her mom and dad and grandma recently. She was sweet as could be - posed a bit then was off to sleep after her snack. Gave us a chance to get some precious sleepy baby shots. Then she woke right up again and smiled a bit more for the camera. She is a real beauty and didn't utter so much as a peep during her portrait session. So, mom, dad, and grandma - enjoy and give that little girl a hug for me!

She's Got Style!

Love girls with their own sense of style! She's got a look that works with funky, dressy, and even 'collegiate' clothes! Her hair and eyes are so great and unique. She will make a splash at her new alma mater the minute she walks on campus. We have her slideshow Here for you to enjoy! By the way, turn up your volume because all these show have music.

New CD Package!!

I recently sent the following information out in my newsletter but wanted to post it here for folks who currently do not subscribe to it. I am so excited to be able to offer this quite unique service to my customers!

"Almost everyone has been asking about them –Nancy, do you sell your images on CD. My answer has been a consistent –“No” and if you have asked, you’ve heard all my reasons why I wasn’t selling CDs. However – I am really interested in the needs of my customers and generally, I try to put myself in your shoes to determine what I would want if I was my client – and I think I would want a CD! So, after more research, thought and realizing that most people use all types of technology to display photos, I have come up with a plan I hope many of you will like.

Why would you want to buy a CD of your images from a photography session? You can use them to make as many prints/sizes as you want, give prints as gifts, make cards and announcements, scrapbook, make albums and photo books, email them, use them in digital frames and Ipods and much more. Perhaps, best of all is the peace of mind of knowing you have all those images tucked away if you ever want them.

There are a few things to consider, though. Not all photo labs are the same (this was my biggest issue with selling CDs). When I print portraits, I use a professional lab that uses consistent calibrations to insure the quality o f the prints. Well, guess what –so do several labs accessible to the general public – including Costco! You can upload your images to Costco's photo center online and order prints from your CD. Costco's print labs use the same Fuji pro printers as the major national finishing labs, and their machines are calibrated daily to their national color standards. They also offer a huge variety of sizes and products, so you can get exactly what you need. However, other printers, typically drug store and other in house photo centers, allow their workers to calibrate the colors and settings as they see fit, and you can end up with horribly inconsistent print quality. Costco's national policies do not allow this, which is why we so highly recommend Costco's printing services. Another great lab is Mpix(click here). They are a strictly online digital photo service and they have just about any kind of photo product you would want. You can even get your prints framed at Mpix! I will give you complete instructions and recommendations so that your prints look as good as possible. I will also give you full reprinting rights for the portraits on your CD.

The session fee (a savings of $125.00) and all portrait retouching are included in the price. You will be able to view all your portraits in a password protected on line gallery. All of the proofs from your session (30-40), fully professionally retouched and ready to be printed, will be put on CD at full resolution in black and white and color and presented to you in a box for safekeeping. In addition, you will receive one 16” x 20” gallery wrapped canvas (a value of $250.00) of your favorite portrait from your session, in black and white or full color. I want you to have something gorgeous and memorable to put on your wall! Your image is printed and stretched over deep gallery stretcher bars. These bars have a depth of 1.5 inches and allow the piece to be hung directly on the wall without a frame. The price of this collection is $675.00.

I will, of course, continue to offer all my current products and pricing. I also have some great new products for 2008, including new storybooks and albums, collages and storyboards as well as custom cards and announcements.

For Families of Class of 2008 Seniors

I have always offered 50% off of the session fee for the famiies of seniors who schedule a photo session within one year of your child's senior pictures. This amount is currently $62.50 (half of a regular session fee of $125.00). For families that wish to purchase the new CD package, I will be glad to deduct this amount from the price of the package.

Gorgeous family

A few weeks ago, we took these portraits of this awesome family. Actually, this is the second part of the family. The rest are posted below, "A Patriot and His Family'. Well, it was fun -the girls posed in their pretty outfits, chased bubbles and played with their puppy. Enjoy their slideshow, too; I had a ball!
